United Way NWA Seeking Volunteers to “Fill the Bus”


Lowell, ARK. – Volunteers are needed to help United Way of Northwest Arkansas and Walmart collect school supplies during the United Way Fill the Bus event Friday, July 24th and Saturday, July 25th.

Collection points will be set up at nine Walmart Supercenter locations throughout Northwest Arkansas and one location in Pineville, Missouri.

• Elm Springs Walmart Supercenter—Elm Springs Rd.
• Fayetteville Walmart Supercenter—Mall Ave.
• Fayetteville Walmart Supercenter—Martin Luther King Blvd.
• Huntsville Walmart Supercenter—Gary Hatfield Way
• Pineville, MO Walmart Supercenter—Commercial Lane
• Rogers Walmart Supercenter—Walnut St.
• Rogers Walmart Supercenter—Pleasant Crossing
• Siloam Springs Walmart Supercenter—Highway 412
• Springdale Walmart Supercenter—Pleasant St.

Volunteers are needed for two hour increments to help collect and sort school supplies. On Friday, volunteers are needed 10:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and on Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Registration for these volunteer opportunities is available on our volunteer website.

Previously titled “Stuff the Bus”, Fill the Bus is an initiative that helps to create a pathway out of poverty for children in Northwest Arkansas. This program supports children in our community by helping them start school with confidence and gives them the literal tools they need to succeed.

Join United Way of Northwest Arkansas and LIVE UNITED by volunteering on July 24th & 25th to help us remove a barrier of education for thousands of school-aged children in Benton, Madison, McDonald and Washington counties.
