Society History

Join a United Way giving community and get connected with other community minded people, network and deepen your philanthropic commitment. We all come from different backgrounds and from all walks of life but we have one thing in common—we all call Northwest Arkansas home. It’s where we work, play and raise our families; we come together as a community to make it better. The gift of your time, talent and treasure sets a standard in our community and, by example, sets a course for others to follow.

A Tocqueville gift is a donation of $10,000 or more and qualifies the donor for membership in United Way of Northwest Arkansas’s most generous Giving Society. These donations help set the standard for charitable giving in Northwest Arkansas and members are a part of a distinguished group of civic and business leaders in our community.

Women's United Society

A Women’s United gift is $2,500 or more. The Women’s United Society includes women who are staunch advocates of the United Way of Northwest Arkansas. They are leaders who leverage their skills and influence with a shared desire to impact children and families living in poverty in our community.

Leadership Society

A Leadership gift is a donation of $1,000 or more. The Leadership Society members understand the importance of long-term investments in our community. Donations at this level are a critical part of a successful employee campaign.

Young Leaders Society

Young leaders are tomorrow’s community leaders and philanthropists. The Young Leaders’ Society is open to those 35 years of age and younger who give $250 or more annually to the United Way of Northwest Arkansas.

“When an American asks for the cooperation of his fellow citizens, it is seldom refused; and I have often seen it afforded spontaneously, and with great goodwill.”
