Get To Know Us: Elisabeth Ward & Jordan Garcia

Our United Way of Northwest Arkansas team couldn’t be more excited to welcome two new staff these past few weeks! Both Elisabeth Ward and Jordan Garcia have filled roles as Resource Development Directors, and bring a wealth of experience and energy to this organization. They’re jumping right in as they begin their UWNWA journey in the middle of the workplace campaign season, but they couldn’t be more perfect for the job!

Join us in welcoming Elisabeth and Jordan as we formally introducing our new team members with a fun little Q&A.

Elisabeth Ward

  • What are you most excited about coming to work at United Way? I am excited to make a difference in our local community. Children have been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember, and knowing how many of our children and families are living in poverty are extremely saddening. Knowing that the work I will be doing will help with the issue is humbling. I am also excited to join a group of extremely talented individuals and learn more about Northwest Arkansas.
  • Who inspires you? My parents. They are always making a difference in not only their lives, but the lives of the people they work with, volunteer for and come in contact with.
  • If you could be any animal, which would you be? A camel!
  • If you were a crayon, what color would you be and why? Any of the sparkle crayons… everyone loves a little sparkle!
  • What is your favorite family tradition? Christmas; My dad still plays Santa and we all sit around the tree, open presents, enjoy breakfast and play with the new “toys” we get.

Jordan Garcia
